Kate Moss and Naomi Harris Are Fashion Muppets in Miu Miu's Fall 2017 Campaign
Miu Miu’s latest ad campaign takes us on a glamorous outing in the deep American South where we find Moonlight’s Naomi Harris and models both super (Kate Moss) and super-to-be (Adwoa and Kesewa Aboah) taking in New Orleans’s bayou scenery and jazz circuit all the while decked out in what can best be described as actually chic Muppet cosplay (yes, really). Technicolor faux fur and super bedazzled luxe handbags are what’s happening this fall/winter, and we’re really not mad about it.
The newly released images, titled “Preservation Hall and Other Stories,” are a result of Love’s Editor-In-Chief Katie Grand’s styling and photographer Alasdair McLellan’s advertorial vision. A Miu Miu press release describes the aesthetic in great, romantic detail, “Throughout the untamed, thich-aired Mississippi bayou, draped with Spanish moss, the siren of insects is interlaced with jazz melodies somehow both timeless and avant-garde. In the deep American South, and more specifically the port of New Orleans, patois is more than a dialect, it’s a way of life. Everything here is a deeply textured bricolage, full of tension and wild energy.”
