The day was September 24, 2019. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were on day two of their 10-day tour of South Africa, which started with a visit at Waves for Change and ended with a reception at the Residence of the British High Commissioner. As per usual, Markle wore gorgeous outfits for both — a casual jeans-and-tee for the former and a striped Reformation dress for the latter. But it was the ensemble she donned in between these two events — for the mid-day Heritage Day celebrations in Bo Kaap district — that made for the strongest sartorial moment of the day.

Markle opted for a gorgeous olive-green shirt dress from Staud for the celebrations, but as per usual, it was impossible to get your hands on it at that time, not because it sold out within seconds of her being seen in it, as is typically the case, but because it wasn’t even on the market yet. The floor-length number, which has all the makings of the perfect spring and summer dress, was actually from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection and only available for pre-sale, with the official release date still TBD then.

Now, five long months later, the dress Markle wore for the Heritage Day outing is finally fully back in stock and available at Nordstrom. Yes, you read that correctly: The utilitarian-style maxi, which is crafted entirely from recycled nylon and features side-seam pockets perfect for storing your tiny essentials (it’s stylish, sustainable, and practical), quietly dropped on the department store’s site today, making it easier than ever to get your hands on this Markle-approved staple. And while it’s still available in all sizes, ranging from a 00 to 10, we have a strong feeling that won’t be the case by the end of the day.

If you want to emulate one of Markle’s best looks to date, then we highly suggest you take out your wallet now and shop the dress below. This is one sustainable, Markle-approved fashion find you definitely don’t want to sleep on.
