Big bottoms can be worn with everything from crop tops (a move TikToK would surely make) to leather trench coats to puffers. And when it comes to shoes, the options also run the gamut. Baggy denim may conceal your footwear a tad bit more than skinnies, but that's where you can play around with the length. Go for cropped flares if you're rocking sneakers you really want to show off or pointed booties when wearing a floor-grazing style. The sharp toe will peek through beautifully.

We can't forget about comfort. Wide-leg jeans offer much more mobility and breathability, making for great year-round denim. Skinnies, on the other hand, can feel constricting and overly revealing, two more reasons people may gravitate more toward the TikTok-approved jean style.

That said, wide-legs are the boldest version of the denim TikTok has deemed cool, but it's worth mentioning that classic straight-leg and boot-cut silhouettes are also technically considered superior to skinnies.
