Kate Hudson said it best, “It’s not as simple as just feeding a child.” The fight to end global hunger and malnutrition is far more complicated than that, and Hudson and Michael Kors are rolling up their sleeves to take on this mission together.

Teaming up with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), Kors has enlisted Golden Globe-winning actress Hudson to join the fight by supporting Watch Hunger Stop, the brand’s annual campaign to end global hunger. Now in it’s fifth year, Watch Hunger Stop is raising awareness to help achieve a world with Zero Hunger as well as funds to support WFP’s school meals program.

On a trip back in June, Hudson traveled with WFP to Siem Reap, a Cambodian province, to see first-hand how the funds raised through Watch Hunger Stop are feeding and supporting children in need. You can see footage from her visit in the heartwarming video above. If you’re wondering how you can help end global hunger too, here’s how to get in on the fight:

Visit the United Nation's World Food Pragamme site and follow the on-screen link to donate to WFP directly. US users can also text “MKHUNGER” to 50555 to make a $5 gift (message and data rates map apply).

As part of the Watch Hunger Stop efforts, special-edition watches are available for purchase, with 100 meals donated to WFP for each watch sold. This year’s highlight style is a just-launched Michael Kors Access Sofie touchscreen smartwatch, retailing for $395 in select Michael Kors stores worldwide and online at

Each year, Michael Kors creates a new Watch Hunger Stop T-shirt. This year’s T-shirts, designed by Clym Everden, will be given away (no purchase necessary!) at select Michael Kors stores around the world. Post a selfie in your tee using the hashtag #WatchHungerStop and Michael Kors will donate 50 meals to WFP.

Download the world’s first app against global hunger, ShareTheMeal, and donate as little as $.50 (enough to feed one child for a day) with a simple tap on your screen. You’ll also get access to a wealth of photos and facts about the people and places your donation is supporting.
