Scenario: You're one of the most important women in the fashion industry and are knee deep in work. You have six fashion shows, eight meetings, and also have to make sure to get your kids to school on time. Oh, and you should probably eat lunch and dinner somehow in between. This is the situation Net-a-Porter's president, Alison Loehnis, finds herself in during fashion month.

From New York to London, Milan to Paris, Loehnis is constantly juggling a million (very chic) things at once. How does she relax? By having her go-to spots in all the cities she travels to. Here, she takes us through her favorites in her hometown of London.

Where to Grab Coffee

"The Coffee Plant in Notting Hill. I love super strong coffee with almond milk and these guys make the perfect cup every time."

180 Portobello Road, W11 2EB

Where to Eat Lunch in Under 30-Minutes

Squirrel in South Kensington is a wonderful fast, easy, and healthy place to pop in for a quick salad when I'm in between shows. The inside is modeled after a treehouse and the menu is reminiscent of the organic restaurants that I love in New York. I can have a Kambucha, a salad, and be ready to run to the next show.”

Best Place to Go to Ensure You Won't Run Into Anyone

“There are a few of these but I would have to say the winner is Makoto Sushi in Turnham Green Terrace in West London (the best sushi ever and beyond low key and off beaten path of fashion week). Don't tell anyone!”

57 Turnham Green Terrace, Chiswick, W4 1RP

Favorite Place to Grab a Night Cap

The Connaught Bar at The Connaught Hotel in Mayfair is divine. Very chic and cosy and the lighting is fantastic. The perfect hideaway for fashion weeks and beyond.”

Favorite Book Shop

“I love Daunt Books and have since I discovered the shop in Marylebone when I first moved to London. I could get lost for hours in the travel section and I love the table of “Staff Fiction Picks.” They make fantastic recommendations and have introduced me to some amazing authors.”

83 Marylebone High Street, W1U 4QW

Favorite Place to Buy a White Tee (In Case of Emergency!)

“My go-to white t-shirts are either The Row's Cotton Jersey Tees or Adam Lippes' Pima Cotton Tee. If I don't have one on hand, I will order immediately on NET-A-PORTER and take advantage of the Same Day Delivery service in London.”

The best drugstore

Bliss Pharmacy near Hyde Park or on Gloucester Road. They have amazing wellness care. I stock up on Boiron homeopathic products before I travel. The products are excellent for immune protection on the airplane, and I also am a sucker for a great skincare department.”

Check back next week for Loehnis's Milan haunts.
