Gucci's New Sci-Fi-Inspired Campaign Has Aliens, Dinosaurs, Robots, and Monsters Who Model
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away ... there were models? That's not how we remember it going, but Gucci begs to differ.
Instead of casting people for its newest fall/winter 2017 ad campaign, Gucci went another route, and the results are nothing short of spectacular.
In a series of photos, humans dressed in head-to-toe Gucci interact with equally fabulous extraterrestrials on the sets of various sci-fi films. Models range from alien-like creatures on the Star Trek ship to the infamous Creature from the Black Lagoon, and we have to say, these beings know how to clean up nicely.
"The retro-futurist settings inside the images dreamed up by Creative Director Alessandro Michele were inspired by the sci-fi genre of the 1950s and '60s, including the iconic TV program Star Trek," reads a Gucci press release. "Human characters interact with extra-terrestrial creatures and dinosaurs on Earth and are then beamed up to surreal, psychedelic outer space landscapes and trippy spaceship interiors, creating wild and fantastical compositions."
With style this far out of this world, we can only stop to admire the show. Check out the Gucci advertising campaign yourself below, and try to pick just one favorite model/monster.
