Red Carpet Accessories Brand Judith Leiber Gets a Brand New Designer
Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, handbag designer and wife to one Tommy Hilfiger, is starting the new year in the best way possible: with a new title and a new brand to helm. Today, Authentic Brands Group names Ocleppo Hilfiger as the co-owner, global brand ambassador, and creative director of Judith Leiber, the iconic luxury accessories brand most famous for its incredible clutches that glitter from the grips of A-listers on the red carpet (see the quad, above, for proof: Chrissy Teigen, Viola Davis, Lily Collins, and Nicole Kidman). Also, do you remember Lily's cupcake clutch from the SATC movie? Yep, that's Judith Leiber, too.
“Judith Leiber embodies femininity, luxury and glamour,” says Nick Woodhouse, president and CMO of ABG, in a release. “Dee’s style and creative influence will infuse the brand with a new and relevant outlook that will be integrated across core and new categories. The partnership brings a real opportunity to expand the Judith Leiber footprint across the fashion, fragrance and accessories industries."

With this appointment, Ocleppo Hilfiger is tasked to expand the Judith Leiber brand, branching out from handbags, footwear, and eyewear into apparel, jewelry, and beauty. The first Judith Leiber x Dee Ocleppo capsule collection is slated to launch in stores and e-retailers during the holidays at the end of the year.
