Jennifer Aniston's Famous Coat From 2006 Is Getting a Major Fashion Update
Gucci is revamping this trusty staple.
Whether it's based on the nostalgia factor or practicality, there are certain fashion trends that deserve a comeback — and The North Face coats are definitely on that list. The outerwear option (particularly that famous black puffer) was the epitome of cool back in the early '00s, while also providing plenty of warmth on winter's chilliest days. So, when we saw that Gucci was now collaborating with the brand via an announcement on Instagram? We immediately got excited — and thought of Jennifer Aniston.
Back in 2006, Aniston wore her own trusty North Face to the Sundance Film Festival, and we haven't forgotten it since. Bundled up with her famous scarf, she looked cozy yet fashion-forward, and much like her orange cargo pants, it's a throwback look we reference every so often.
Now we're wondering if Aniston will embrace the new-and-improved version once the Gucci x The North Face collaboration is released. At the very least, it will be interesting to see what these designs look like. Many have pointed out that Gucci isn't big on technical fashion — the brand is more into wool and leather outerwear — so perhaps it's an opportunity to pull out all the stops and put a creative twist on these classic coats.
