The Affordable Designer That Took Over the Emmy's Red Carpet
Most red carpets (or, in this case, gold ones) are filled to the brim with a mix of designers. Some household names and others, well, we’re still working on getting the pronunciation right. But not at the Emmy’s. There was one designer that stole the show, dressing several stars — like Leslie Jones in the coolest iridescent pant suit; Regina King in an elegant, neon-green dress; and Angela Sarafyan in the ultimate princess gown.
The man of the hour is no other than Christian Siriano. The designer has branded himself as being someone who makes clothes, handbags, and shoes for every woman — meaning women who come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and with varying budgets, too. Over at Rent the Runway, you can grab a Christian Siriano dress for as low as $100. I know, unheard of, right? The shoes that Siriano designed for his recent New York Fashion Week show, by the way, are sold at Payless.
And it's not just clothing and accessories that he's making accessible to all. Siriano also has a stylish and reasonably priced home decor line at Wayfair, and a few of his chic, cozy blankets are also up for grabs at Macy's. So these Emmy stars didn't just look great on Monday night; they showed that they're savvy about their style, too.
