What InStyle Editors Are Buying at Bebe Before It Shuts Its Doors
Say it ain't so! First, Wet Seal. Then, Nasty Gal. And now, the store that blessed us all with our very first club dress is closing. On Friday, Bebe revealed plans to shut down all of its stores by the end of May, according to Fortune. Yeah, we had to grab the tissues after the news broke, too. The beloved brand was definitely a fave during the '90s and early 2000s. (Remember when Kim Kardashian West used to model for the brand? Good times.) In 2005, it was pretty hard to walk down the streets without seeing someone rocking one of the blinged-out shirts with the word "Bebe" sparkling across their chest.
Bebe hasn't clarified if they will continue to put efforts into keeping its website alive, but we're keeping our fingers crossed. And before we have a moment of silence for all of the closing stores, InStyle editors have picked out their must-haves to buy before we all say R.I.P. to Bebe.
Logo Rhinestone Tee
"You really can’t go wrong with a logo baby tee. I see this amped up with leather skinnies, chunky boots, and retro shades." —Kim Duong, Fashion Assistant

Logo Back Ring Maxi Dress
"I mean I could go with a minimalist logo tee, but if you’re gonna do it, THEN DO IT, which is why I’m going with this ridiculous maxidress. I’m after that whole Mariah Carey idea of being glam to the point it’s ridiculous–check out her basketball jersey dress to see what I mean–so this dress works in favor of that aesthetic when paired with heels. Realistically, I’ll probably use it to cover a swimsuit. I plan to wear it to the pool and beach all summer long and embarrass everyone around me. "Hey, friends!" —Marianne Mychaskiw, Associate Beauty Editor

Logo Ribbed Tank
"Is there anything more Bebe than a logo tee—a rhinestone one at that? To me, this style epitomizes the essence of the early aughts. Paired with low-slung denim and Uggs, this tank will be riding the nostalgia train with me for a while." —Hana Asbrink, Digital News Editor

Logo Rhinestone Baseball Cap
"Of course, everyone needs to grab one of the iconic logo tops, but I still have mine from the eigth grade (yes, I'm a hoarder, but this is a no-judging zone). So before Bebe closes its stores, I might as well add the matching hat to my collection." —Alexis Bennett, E-Commerce Editor
