Britney Spears Is the Latest Celebrity to Wear These Controversial Sneakers
The singer recently posted a series of photos on Instagram where she's happily posing with an electric bike and new pooch, Porsha, while wearing a pair of Hoka One One's Bondi 7 sneakers. Spears is no stranger to the brand; she's been sporting various Hoka shoes since at least 2017, but this is the first time she's worn this particular style.
While the athletic shoes have a chunky dad sneaker aesthetic that has people torn on whether they're trendy or, as one Redditor put it, "nursing home-esque," more than 3,000 Nordstrom shoppers have left the Bondi 7 style a five-star rating, saying they're super supportive and feel like "walking on air."
"This is my [second] pair of Bondi 7 shoes," one customer wrote. "If you have any type of foot pain, these are the shoes to try. I have hallux limitus and the roomie toe area and [curved] bottom help. They are also nice looking shoes…worth every penny to prevent pain."
Another shopper called them "miracle shoes." They wrote, "I used to struggle with hip pain and have tried different brands of runners to help but to little avail. These super-cushy Hokas ended my search and the hip pain! I [also] bought two pairs for my aging parents."
Not to mention, customers say they're great for standing all day and come in five versatile colors. "I recommend them to everyone that will listen. They are like walking on a support-filled cloud. No break in period at all. I own three pairs of the Bondi 7, what started off as work shoes became all-the-time shoes, so I needed more colors."
