At some point during the week, we encounter a feeling that's all too familiar: panic, caused by the inability to decide what to wear. It doesn't matter if our closet is packed with dresses, pants, skirts, shirts, or whatever else we've accumulated over the years. Putting those pieces together to create a cute outfit is what often ends up leaving us stumped.

But one styling solution that rarely fails us, making our fashion dilemma disappear within a matter of minutes? Color blocking. Pairing two vibrantly-colored items together — whether it's an orange top with pink bottoms, or a green dress with a blue blazer — is a surefire way to turn meh staples into full statement-making looks.

In fact, some of the world's best-dressed women have relied on this trick for years, especially during fashion month, and going bold and bright only continues to increase in popularity. Ahead, we've rounded up 20 different color pairings in hopes it sparks some inspiration.

Not quite ready to embrace this trend? There are a handful of other ways to switch up your look, like adding a belt or going monochrome instead.
