She often walks the red carpet in billowing, floor-length designs, and frequently runs errands in breezy caftans and slides. So, when the actress and humanitarian was spotted out in LA wearing a long, navy blue dress by Gabriela Hearst ($1,794; net-a-porter.com), it wasn't a surprise. It went along with her signature carefree style — but, there was a twist. This particular piece included long sleeves and pleats, and while it feels like more of a fall staple than a summer one, we instantly associated it with Disney. The elegant shape makes it look like something a fictional princess might wear, but the dark color gave us villain vibes. Jolie indeed plays the title character in the Maleficent film series, so, perhaps, she was unintentionally channeling her alter ego. Maleficent on vacation, maybe. Either way, it seems like Jolie is on top of the blanket dresses trend and continues to be a pro at combining comfort and style. Was this page helpful?
