Fashion Supermodels Are Bringing Back This Popular Sneaker From the '80s, and It's Selling Out Fast Bella Hadid gave the $90 shoe her seal of approval. This isn't really news, but the speed at which they alternate between new "It" sneakers definitely is. The latest one to gain the moniker may look familiar to some, considering it was wildly popular in the '80s. And even if you think you've never seen it before, you've likely spotted the Adidas Forum's signature blue stripes on the feet of supermodels like Bella Hadid and beloved style icon Devon Lee Carlson. The Adidas Forum sneaker is one of the most notable styles of the 1980s, back when just about every single basketball star was wearing a pair. Then it made its way onto the streets of New York, and the rest, obviously, is history. And since history has a tendency to repeat itself, the sneaker is back and better than ever in 2021. For under $100, it seems too good to be true. Courtesy Shop now: $90; amazon.com But it isn't. The sneaker is affordable, loved by supermodels and fashion girls alike, and comes in two different styles: low and mid. So far, celebrities seem to gravitate toward the low style, as it pairs perfectly with dresses, pants, and even Ed Hardy. The most standout detail of the sneaker is no doubt the bright blue stripes. Earlier this summer, Jennifer Garner tried to make blue sneakers a thing, but we'd argue the Adidas Forum makes it far easier to incorporate the color into your wardrobe. But if you want to go all matchy-matchy á la Carlson, stripes on stripes really have never looked better. Naturally, we're thrilled about the unexpected supermodel sneaker boom. It's a trend that doesn't break our wallets, and each new "It" sneaker seems better than the next. Of course, with its popularity rising by the minute, the Adidas Forum is bound to sell out, just like all the "It" supermodel sneakers before it. And while we're not saying you need to pair it with Ed Hardy, like Hadid did, we can't deny that it was a pretty good look.
