Flip through a magazine and tell me what advertising campaign you most remember. Was it one that highlighted something you wanted to buy? One that featured your favorite celebrity? Or, was it one that made you feel something. How about all three?

That’s the trifecta John Hardy hit with their new campaign, aptly named Made for Legends, featuring Julianne Moore and Adwoa Aboah.

“Legendary women in history have embraced jewelry as an outward manifestation of their inner power,” John Hardy CEO Robert Hanson told “Made for Legends speaks to this duality of power and grace, qualities that are embodied by both Julianne Moore and Adwoa Aboah and essential to our artisan handcrafted jewelry".

All you have to do is take a quick look at the image to feel the said power.

Moore and Aboah both wear pieces from the Classic Chain, Modern Chain, and Naga collections (which are also some of the first pieces designed by creative director Hollie Bonneville Barden). The Reversible Chain bracelet, sculptural chokers and coils, and all the classics intermixed appear just as much armor as accessories on the actress and model.

On posing for the jewelry brand, Moore told “I'm fascinated by decorating our environments and ourselves. It's interesting because it's not a human necessity and yet we continue to decorate our environments and adorn our bodies with clothes and jewelry. It's a way of expressing who we are.”
