I've actually never even gone skiing before, and when I tried snowboarding, I spent most of my time on the ground. But the snow bunny aesthetic has been everywhere lately, and I feel the intense need to look as though I'm on a weekend trip to Aspen (even while going anywhere but Aspen). I blame Miuccia's incredible Miu Miu Fall Winter 2021 show, which featured models on snowy hills wearing sequined dresses, boots covered in shearling, and quilted jackets that matched their quilted puffer bags. The looks quickly went viral, and this is likely why moon boots are suddenly trending. Clearly Garner is on board, too. On Instagram, Garner uploaded a handful of videos of her trip in the snow. She happily made snow angels while wearing mittens so big, they put Bernie Sanders' famous ones to shame. But most importantly, she wore her snow boots everywhere and even gave them a special shout out. Practical, durable snow shoes that can withstand the most intense elements are the 'It' boots of the season, and people are pairing them with everything from mini skirts to bikinis. The good news is that this trend will, without a doubt, stand the test of time. Even if you get tired of wearing winter boots with an everyday look, you'll always have a need for them when snowy, icy weather rolls around. Naturally, Nordstrom has a handful of great options by Marc Fisher, Sorel, and even Tory Burch on sale. There are also plenty of Ugg boots, and while I wouldn't necessarily wear mine out in the snow, they are inevitably a key component of the Snow Bunny wardrobe. Basically, the biggest trend this winter is actually dressing warm, with fuzzy accessories to boot, and I'm more than here for it. My goal is to look as warm and happy as Garner until March, which I think means I need to invest in a pair of snow boots ASAP. And when I'm feeling spicy, I'll make sure to pull a Dua Lipa in them as well.
