When it comes to matters of style, few fashion heavy-hitters are more opinionated, or more discerning, than Miss Piggy. The famously blunt Muppet is beloved for sharing her candid opinions on everything—and that extends to the red carpet. Which is precisely why she was handpicked to host a pre-show from the red carpet at the British Fashion Council's annual Fashion Awards last night at the Royal Albert Hall in London, alongside Derek Blasberg (last year's presenter was none other than Jean-Paul Gaultier). Here, Miss Piggy enthusiastically shares her top five looks from the evening.
12 of Zendaya's Favorite Things
If we had to choose one girl who embodies the word “cool” right now, hands down, it would be Zendaya. The 21-year-old actress, musician, and style wunderkind has no qualms about showing her true self to the world, and she’s as bold in her fashion and beauty choices as she is in the words of wisdom she frequently shares on social media. It's no surprise that we often find ourselves in awe of Zendaya and the confidence she exudes. Of course, we’re not the only ones paying attention to the Greatest Showman star. As a strong, young voice, she serves as a constant source of inspiration for her more than 45.9 million followers on Instagram, not to mention the diehard fans who subscribe to her app for daily updates on her life. Whether she’s sounding off on politics or teaching her followers how to keep their eyebrow game strong, there's no denying that Zendaya has a style all her own—and it’s downright impossible to recreate. But that doesn’t mean we can’t keep trying. So for our January issue, we asked our cover star to reveal what tops her list of must-haves, from her footwear obsession ("My shoes are like my babies," she says) and skincare saviors to her pop culture picks. Scroll down for all of her favorites, and for similar stories, check out the January issue of InStyle, available December 8 on newsstands, for digital download, and on Amazon. We’re always looking to the red carpet for our fashion inspiration. And as it turns out, so are the A-listers that walk the step-and-repeat themselves. Chloë Sevigny, for instance, says during awards season she often has her eye out for fellow actresses who are willing to go big or go home when it comes to their couture choices. “When everyone else is googling the best Oscars dresses, I’m doing it too because I love to see what people end up wearing,” she told InStyle. And just like you and I, Sevigny usually finds herself falling hard for at least one couture creation. In 2017, it was Dakota Johnson’s gold Gucci dress at the Academy Awards (below) that got her sartorial seal of approval. “Dakota looked amazing," she said. "I love when people really go for it and do something more than just a strapless, pretty princess gown. It’s just more interesting, you know?” And Sevigny’s not alone. Pretty much all of Hollywood’s best-dressed had a quick answer when we asked them who their #1 style crush was this year. Reese Witherspoon was enamored by Big Little Lies co-star Nicole Kidman and her penchant for custom Calvin Klein By Appointment looks, while Priyanka Chopra and Olivia Culpo coveted practically everything Blake Lively touched. As for Elizabeth Olsen? She didn’t have to look any further than big sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley for outfit inspo. Keep scrolling to see a list of this year's ultimate style crushes, chosen by Julia Roberts, Selena Gomez, Zendaya, and more.
Last night, Bloomingdale’s on 59th Street in New York unveiled its The Greatest Showman-themed holiday window displays with a little help from mega-talented singer Keala Settle and one of the film’s biggest stars, Zendaya. The actress, who plays a trapeze artist alongside Zac Efron, has partnered with Bloomingdale’s private label, Aqua, to create a capsule collection of gorgeous clothing items for the holiday season, each available for less than $200. In the spirit of holiday gifting, we caught up with Zendaya just before the big reveal to talk all things holiday presents, from what’s on her wish-list to the wackiest gift she ever received. This year, the only thing the 21-year-old wants for Christmas is not what you'd expect: Zendaya is in search of furniture. “I’ve worked so hard to get furniture in my house,” Zendaya told InStyle. “My fans were making fun of me because my house was empty for a very long time, and now I’m finally doing it.” RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: A First Look at the Bloomingdale's Holiday Windows The actress (and songstress—have you listened to her duet with Efron yet?!) is also adding another item of decor to her house: a framed photo of her and Settle, taken while they were shooting the song “This is Me” for the movie. “It’s this beautiful picture of both of us, and it was in the moment, and she was just so sweet to get it framed for me!” Zendaya said. But the wackiest gift Zendaya’s ever received came from a family member. It's their holiday tradition to hold a White Elephant gift exchange, where gifters wrap up random items and swap them before opening. One of the first times Zendaya participated (and age 14 or 15) she received one super strange surprise, and her reaction was priceless. “One year I opened one and I got pregnancy tests,” explained the star. “I threw it on the ground and just ran. I was like ‘Why would you do this?!’ I was so embarrassed.” Zendaya herself is less of a White Elephant shock-value gifter and more of an inside jokester. She loves to give people gifts that will make them laugh and smile about something that only they can understand, she said. Now that’s one great friend. If you want to be the top gifter in your circle this holiday season, check out some of our favorite The Greatest Showman-themed items from the Bloomingdale’s collection, below. You can also see the full collection here. And if you’re in NYC, you can snag even more more exclusive gifts from STORY, a concept store in Manhattan that worked with partners like Sugarfina and Alexis Bittar to create special (and spectacular) The Greatest Showman-inspired items like signature Sugarfina gummies (pictured below), colorful Alexis Bittar bangles (pictured below), sparkly Edie Parker clutches, and much more.
The A-listers came out in droves for the launch and preview of Forevermark’s Tribute collection in N.Y.C. on Tuesday. Beloved social media star and style icon Chrissy Teigen arrived at the event in Chelsea wearing a semi-sheer off-the-shoulder Massachi LBD which clung to her every curve. Decked out in head-to-toe diamonds, the 31-year-old glittered with every step and finished off her look with sleek locks parted down the middle and shiny black sandals. Also in attendance was Zendaya, who wore an ivory ruffled jumpsuit with a structured bustier top and a diamond choker, giving off an almost matrimonial vibe. The stars sipped beverages from an open bar, ate extravagant gourmet bites, explored Forevermark’s latest collection, and took photos in a special diamond-shaped photo booth as they made their way through the evening. Third time's a charm, so they say, and inside tonight's third annual InStyle Awards, there was charm everywhere you looked. Tonight during an intimate dinner at the Getty Center, overlooking the Los Angeles skyline, InStyle presented the third annual InStyle Awards, honoring the actors, actresses, and artists whose style defines the red carpet, as well as those behind the scenes who make it all look so glam. Cate Blanchett, who will take home the Style Icon award tonight, stole the show in a red hot striped dress with a deep V-neckline. Zendaya graced the carpet in a beautiful ombré Schiaparelli Fall 2017 Couture ruffled dress with bright red shoes. The actress looked incredible in dangling earrings and an afro. Stay tuned for more exclusive, behind-the-scenes coverage straight from inside our celebrity-packed celebration, only on InStyle.

We can barely hide our excitement for the Erdem x H&M collaboration! On Wednesday night, some of our favorite fashionistas toasted to the collection, with a runway show and launch party in Hollywood at the Wilshire Ebell Theater. Designer Erdem Moralıoğlu was on hand for the launch of his first-ever collaboration, which boasted his signature florals, flirty mini dresses, and an array of menswear-inspired pieces that make the case for borrowing from the boys. Moralıoğlu discussed the floral pieces he designed for men and women, saying "I found myself very much influenced by how the men's pieces looked on women, and how some of the women's pieces looked on men. So there was this exchange—that kind of tension between something formal and informal. There was this definite kind of fluidity between men and women that I found really fascinating." There, the designer opened up about the inspiration for his pieces, telling us he turned to Pet Shop Boys's music video "Being Boring" because it not only takes places in an English country house, but is very British. He also looked at photos of his mom and dad's style in the '60s, and referenced notables like Jane Birkin and David Hockney. H&M Creative Director Ann-Sofie Johansson also celebrated the collection, and told us what she hopes is the takeaway. "I hope they will get really happy when they see it, because it is beautiful. I want them to become emotional, really, because I think it is an emotional collection," she said. "He's an amazing designer that makes these beautiful, beautiful clothes, and we wanted beauty right now." Moralıoğlu's A-list fans came out to show their support. Zendaya channeled a retro Barbie with a cropped sweater paired with a full floral skirt, while Kirsten Dunst went comfy chic in an autumnal spin on the pajama trend. The men made an appearance too, with Taylor Kitsch and Shaun Ross taking in the looks from the front row. As for the one celebrity Moralıoğlu would love to see in the collection? "I would be very happy if Marlene Dietrich wore the gray Paris tweed suit. Paul Newman could wear the gray men's version. Montgomery Clift in the green pajamas. Elizabeth Taylor in the sequin slip dress. Who else? Bette Davis in the tweed suit," he added. Erdem x H&M's 87-piece collection will hit stores on Nov. 2, but, for now, scroll through to see some of our favorite celeb ensembles from the launch party. —with reporting by Brandi Fowler
