A red hot combo.

Zendaya arrived at the CFDA Fashion Awards ready to burn it down in a fiery, red hot two-piece gown — fit for the youngest-ever Fashion Icon recipient.

The 25-year-old actress wore a vibrant Vera Wang bandeau bra top with a matching dramatic column skirt that featured a peplum waist. A bling-y diamond necklace and cuff bracelet accompanied the look that was dreamt up by her long-time stylist Law Roach. She completed her outfit with butt-length box braids and nails that matched the dress's bright hue.

Her red carpet walk wasn't the only notable moment of the night for the actress. During the award ceremony, Zendaya made history as the youngest-ever CFDA Fashion Icon Award winner, a title she has certainly lived up to over the past year — from her show-stopping Dune press tour looks to her stunning Oscars ensemble (which included $6 million worth of jewelry).

Zendaya opened up to InStyle in our November cover story about how she takes on the red carpet and all the pressures that come along with it.

"I think about red carpets as having their own characters and narratives," she told us. "We build a little story for all the looks. It's like an extension of my acting career in a weird way — you just pop this wig on or whatever it is. Clothes sometimes are very emotional, so I get to embody these different facets — maybe they're of myself, or maybe they're alter egos. But I get to meet these different women through clothes."
