Victoria Beckham Shared a Sweet Message From Beyoncé

Girl power.

Before there was Destiny's Child — and Beyoncé — there was the Spice Girls. And Victoria Beckham, Posh Spice herself, said that when she met Queen Bey, the two shared a very special moment together. During an appearance on the Breaking Beauty podcast, Beckham explained that Beyoncé cited the Spice Girls as one of her inspirations to become a performer.

And the admiration goes both ways now, Beckham added. She said that having someone like Beyoncé, who she called "iconic" and "strong," say that they were inspired by Posh, Scary, Baby, Ginger, and Sporty, is something that she'll never forget.

"I met Beyoncéa few years ago, and she actually said to me, 'It was the Spice Girls that inspired me and made me want to do what I do and made me proud to be a girl and proud to be who I am,'" Beckham said. "And when someone like Beyoncé, who is so iconic and was such a strong woman, says that she was inspired by the Spice Girls, I think that's quite something."

Of course, Beyoncé was part of Destiny's Child before she launched a solo career (something Spice Girls fans know something about). She would go on to become the most-awarded woman in Grammys history. She earned her 28th trophy this year. And to keep the inspiration going, Beyoncé's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, made history as the second-youngest person to ever win a Grammy. She nabbed the Best Music Video award for "Brown Skin Girl."
