Mary-Kate Olsen's Changing Looks
Too cute! 3-year-old Mary-Kate split the role of Michelle Tanner on Full House with fraternal twin, Ashley.
The Campbell Hall Episcopal Day School senior dyed her light locks dark, but otherwise went with a natural look. "I probably wear less makeup than all my friends," she told People at the time. "Usually I leave the house with only mascara and lip gloss."
With her strawberry blond hair and smudgy shadow, the New York Minute star began developing her own funky style.
Olsen rocked the milkmaid look with a trendsetting braid-banded style.
Mary-Kate feted the Golden Globes with gilded locks and classic red lips. Also worthy of celebration? A supporting role in Weeds and the launch (with sister Ashley) of clothing collection Elizabeth and James.
Ahead of the pack as usual, Olsen wore her hair in a soon-to-be-everywhere side-braid while promoting The Wackness.
She went high glam for the 125th Anniversary of the Metropolitan Opera in wild curls and matte red lips.
Olsen hit the town with an artfully undone half-updo and subtle earth-tones.
For the Costume Institute Gala, Olsen highlighted her green eyes with rosy shadow.
"Mary-Kate's beauty visual became very personal, since it needed to represent her artistic integrity as a designer," said Wella Professionals hairstylist Charley Brown of Olsen's Met Gala look. "With the complex combination of strong tailoring and romantic drapery of Mary-Kate's custom gown, her hair had to have the same complexity and impact that combined angelic romance with strength and simplicity."
Olsen debuted dark locks at the CFDA Awards.
The fashion mogul went back to blonde.
