Kate Bosworth's Changing Looks
The fresh-faced teen plunged into acting with roles in Remember the Titans and Young Americans.
"I felt more solemn as a brunette," Bosworth told InStyle of dying her mane chestnut for her role in Wonderland. "It doesn't make sense, but I don't take things as seriously when I am a blonde."
Bosworth matched her lids to her lips for the premiere of Win a Date with Tad Hamilton.
The Bee Season beauty chose a vivid tangerine lipstick for an Academy Awards party.
She made the most of her fine platinum strands (what hairstylist Renato Campora calls her "baby angel hair") by twisting them back into a simple chignon.
"She was the first one to have it," Campora said of the 21 star's cropped hair. "And then everybody did the bob. She was the inspiration."
She styled her shoulder-length locks in loose waves.
"A red mouth is iconic but also incredibly sultry," said Bosworth's makeup artist, Pati Dubroff. Just like the Warrior's Way star.
She wore retro pin curls for the Costume Institute Gala. "This style looked incredibly graphic and chic in the '30s, and it's just as modern today," said her stylist for the evening, Franco Gobbi.
Bosworth's petal pink lipstick was set off by her creamy matching blush.
For an outdoor fete, Bosworth pulled her hair back into a casual 'do.
Bosworth's dress for the premiere of Life Happens inspired makeup artist Kate Lee to create her fresh-faced look. "The soft, lemon yellow silk chiffon, and matching crystals made Kate and I think that a raspberry bitten lip was a great color pairing," she told InStyle.com. "And Kate's bi-color eyes are always an inspiration to me."
Bosworth made a statement at the Costume Institute Gala with dramatic burgundy lipstick.
Bosworth went ombre for her role in Homefront. "I kept it pretty laid-back for this last role," she told InStyle.com. "They added paint and darker roots to my hair, so this is my natural color at the top that was painted a little darker." And she did mean painted: "It's literal paint. They'll take alcohol and use it with the paint, and it stays on."
"Kate was wearing a gorgeous Calvin Klein ensemble that pulled various warm neutrals together, and I wanted the makeup to do the same," said makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan of the star's look at the Sundance premiere of Big Sur. "Even though her lips are intense, they don't compete with the rest of her look since the colors are all in the same family."
To compliment her signature red lip, Bosworth often brushed her locks to one side to channel Old Hollywood-inspired waves.
The actress said goodbye to a long 'do and instead opted for a freshly-chopped, just-above-the-shoulder look.
