Christina Aguilera's Changing Looks
Take a look at Christina Aguilera's changing looks from over the years of her successful career.
"I've always been a girlie girl," Aguilera told InStyle of her youth. "I used to sit at my mom's vanity and play with her perfume and lipstick. I've had a love affair with makeup since Day 1."
The bright-blond teenager celebrated the release of her first album, Christina Aguilera.
Aguilera started experimenting with bold hairdos. At the Grammy Awards, she wore all-over plaits in a rainbow of colors.
For an MTV Movie Awards performance of “Lady Marmalade,” the singer rocked a combination of braids and curls, highlighted with purple streaks.
In contrast to her album title, Stripped, the sultry star tried out vampy black streaks and ultra-smoky eyes.
"I wanted my color to be darker, more mysterious," Aguilera said of her brunette transformation. "It made me feel vixenish."
Now engaged to Jordan Bratman, she hit Paris Fashion Week in "a retro Hollywood-glam look."
The singer of Back to Basics looked fresh at the Grammys. “[I was] experimenting with a softer approach-pale lips and a tan glow,” she told InStyle. “Not my trademark.”
Always experimenting, the mother of Max Liron Bratman attended the MTV Video Music Awards with platinum fringe and ultra-dramatic two-tone eyeliner.
The star, who released her fragrance, Inspire, admitted to InStyle that she seeks "looks that make me stand out!" Like an eye-catching combo of hot-pink shadow and red lipstick, perhaps?
Aguilera rocked an edgy platinum bob.
On the eve of her latest album, Bionic, Aguilera sported a sleek bob and natural makeup. “With every record I put out, I make a drastic change,” she told InStyle. “I like to try new things and not take myself too seriously.”
The Burlesque star returned to her roots: long, wavy platinum extensions.
Aguilera's sultry waves on The Voice were inspired by her wardrobe, said hairstylist Mark Townsend : "I loved the color and silhouette of the Roland Mouret dress so much, it was such a great fashion moment with a touch of sexiness so I wanted her hair to have the same feeling."
No stranger to colorful locks, Aguilera promoted The Voice with purple-dipped tips.
She doubled up on color, adding an underlayer of hot pink to her purple and platinum mane.
Aguilera sported a sleek, A-line bob at the American Music Awards. "Christina can pull off any look," her hairstylist, David Babaii, said of the look. "She allows me to play with different styles and master the art of illusion."
Christina Aguilera went wavy for the Summer Television Critics Association Tour in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Christina Aguilera smoldered in red lips and bombshell curls for the Breakthrough Prize Awards Ceremony where she performed "Beautiful."
The singer stayed true to her signature red lip and platinum waves.
There's a reason it's called "the classic red lip," and the mom-of-two continues to effortlessly pull off the look, year after year.
Aguilera took the stage at the 2017 AMAs in a plunging black silk gown with her blonde strands slicked back and a pared-down makeup look. She ditched her signature red lip and instead opted for a pink gloss for her Whitney Houston tribute.
