This time, the subject of their collective ire is Netflix hit Ginny & Georgia, which disrespected their queen with a misogynistic joke about her dating history. Fans issued a, uh, swift response to the quip, giving the show many, many 1-star reviews that cite the series' treatment of the singer. Swift herself, whose documentary Miss Americana launched on the platform last year, tweeted her disappointment regarding the slight. Ginny & Georgia Gives Us a Fast-Talking Mother-Daughter Duo for the Next Generation "Hey Ginny & Georgia, 2010 called and it wants its lazy, deeply sexist joke back. How about we stop degrading hard working women by defining this horse shit as FuNnY. Also, @netflix after Miss Americana this outfit doesn't look cute on you. Happy Women's History Month I guess." A change.org petition to have the platform remove the joke is garnering traction as well, with nearly 4,000 signatures to date. Your move, Netflix.
