"I opened up a lounge here this summer called Downstairs on Main," said part-time Park City resident Danny Masterson. "A lot of the indie films showing here don't have much money so we're letting them through after-parties for free."

"It's exciting to be so well-received at Sundance," said 500 Days of Summer's Zooey Deschanel, getting into the spirit of the winter-themed photo backdrop when she posed with co-star Joseph Gordon-Levitt-who is documenting the Sundance experience with his video camera.
"Being more of a well-known name now, there's more of a welcome for me here," said Christoper Meloni, who will make his directorial debut at Slamdance after hitting the Sundance premiere of Brief Interviews With Hideous Men. "This year feels a little more low-key, which is how I remember the festival used to be."

"I saw a bunch of short films last night," said Rose Byrne, describing how she's spent her free time at the festival. Before heading off to their own premiere, Byrne and Adam co-star Hugh Dancy, got cozy for the camera.
"It is a movie that breeds compassion," said Paula Patton of the family drama Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire, which also stars Mariah Carey. "I hope it makes people less judgmental."
Vicious Kind star Brittany Snow arrived at the festival in style, flying in from Los Angeles on a private plane with fellow passengers Demi Moore and Paris Hilton.

"If my character from the movie were here at Sundance, she'd probably be taking a nap and missing all the action," said Amy Poehler, who reunited with co-stars Parker Posey, Rachel Dratch, Missy Pyle and Jane Lynch for the Sundance premiere of Spring Breakdown.

"The movie is a dark comedy, but I play the dramatic character," said Brazilian actor Rodrigo Santoro, who was excited to get a first look at his film, I Love You Phillip Morris.
How does Mo'Nique feel about hearing that her role in Push: Based on the Novel by Sapphire is Oscar-worthy? "The night that we wrapped the movie, amp#91;the directoramp#93; Mr. Daniels said 'You gave it to me,'"the actress said. "That said it all."

Susan Sarandon brought along real-life son Miles for a photo session with her on-screen son in The Greatest, Johnny Simmons. After a quick trip to the Fred Segal Fun lounge, the trio headed off to a dinner celebrating the film's premiere.
Dominic Monaghan hit Park City to get the word about about I Sell The Dead, which premiered at Slamdance, the edgy mini-fest that coincides with Sundance. "If my character was at the festival, he'd be snaking around picking pockets," said the actor, who plays a grave-robber in the dark comedy.

"If I had to describe the movie in one word, I would have to say mystery-ous," said Dominic Dierkes, who joined Mystery Team director/writer Dan Eckman and co-stars D.C. Pierson, Donald Glover and Meggie McFadden in a faux-family pose. The buzzed-about comedy, which tells the story of a group of former Encyclopedia Brown-style child detectives, is billed as a cross between Nancy Drew and Napoleon Dynamite.
