Wearing a denim-on-denim outfit in the fall is not a new concept. In fact, as I sit here typing this, I paired my Reformation jeans with an oversized Levi's jacket. It's, as Meryl Streep's Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada would sarcastically say, "groundbreaking."

But, before I let that fourteen-letter insult send me back to my closet for a different work-from-home ensemble, I looked to the stars. The ones whose styling prowess is lauded in magazines like this one, and you know, the ones who have been wearing denim-on-denim left and right this week.

It began with Miley Cyrus. The singer is in a sort of transformative phase where she is harkening back to the styles of some of her rock 'n roll icons like Debbie Harry. Following a viral cover of Blondie's "Heart of Glass," Cyrus stepped out with her bright blonde mullet, wearing an oversized pair of jeans with a matching oversized jacket. She gave it a country twist with Haava Mustafa Texas buckle boots.

Next, was Emma Roberts. The 29-year-old is currently pregnant and expecting her first child with Garrett Hedlund. Her maternity style has been top-notch. While she's been wearing plenty of babydoll dresses on her Instagram, this week she opted for something a bit more casual. While out in Los Angeles, Roberts wore a denim button-down with slouchy, straight-leg jeans. Along with an "oh boy" mask that she got at her baby shower, she wore a pair of clogs.

Last, but certainly not least, Hailey Bieber wore the going out version in Los Angeles. The model opted to go open jacket with a black crop top that matched her mask. She added a little excitement to the look with a zebra print bag.

And with that, I will remain in my casual, perfect for the fall and work-from-home Canadian tuxedo. Thank you to these celebs.
