Selena Gomez Got a New Set of Bangs

It's not just her extensive collection of coats that has us keeping an eye on every move Selena Gomez makes. It's also her hair, which got a fresh chop today, complete with a new set of bold bangs. On Thursday, Gomez's stylist Kate Young posted a photo to Instagram that gave fans their first look at the new style, which falls right above her collarbones and was styled in big waves.

In the shot, Gomez wore a silky black Celine top paired with hoop earrings, a peachy lip color, and a graphic cat-eye flick. Her hair, which has been blonde and caramel-colored in the past, is back to its dark brown color, though the trim could mean she's wrapped the second season of Only Murders in the Building.

Bangs aren't exactly new for Gomez, who has had them in the past, in both 2019 and 2017. However, this may be the first time she's paired them with a wavy, textured style.

Gomez also showed off the chop on TikTok, where she mouthed along to King Nas.

"Maybe this is why I'm single," Gomez captioned the clip. "Don't believe a damn word."

The post also seemed to confirm that she's not dating businessman Zen Matoshi. The two sparked rumors earlier this month when they attended a Dua Lipa concert together, but it would appear that they're just friends, which a source confirmed to E! News.

"He works in the tech space and has been helping advise Selena," the friend said. "Selena is happily single right now."
