InStyle's editorial guidelines Published on February 13, 2022 @ 12:01PM Pin Share Tweet Email Rihanna just wore a robe as a gown for a night out, and somehow made it look good. I mean, this is the queen of boudoir dressing we're talking about after all. But of course, she didn't wear your typical fluffy white bathrobe. Instead, she slipped on a floor-length red vinyl wrap from her own lingerie line to surprise shoppers at her new Savage x Fenty store at Westfield Culver City mall in Los Angeles. The piece featured a chic hood, which she pulled up over her slicked-back ponytail, and a matching belt that tied above her growing stomach. Rihanna paired the robe with crimson, ankle-strap sandals, hoop earrings, and reverse winged eyeliner that color-coordinated with her outfit. Shutterstock Rih's latest maternity look is much more conservative compared to what she's been wearing so far into her pregnancy. Ever since announcing she's expecting her first child with A$AP, the singer's outfits have flaunted her changing body with clothes that celebrate (rather than hide) her bump — from unbuttoned puffer jackets and body chains to shredded halter tops. Over the weekend, she noted that dressing while pregnant is "fun" but also "a challenge" while speaking to People at the Fenty Beauty Universe Event. "I like it. I'm enjoying it," the mom-to-be said, adding: "I'm enjoying not having to worry about covering up my tummy. If I feel a little chubby, it's like, whatever! It's a baby!" Rihanna's Latest Look Is the Maternity Version of Naked Dressing "Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, 'Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.' But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform," she shared about how fashion is helping her feel more confident during this time. "You put some clothes on, and it's like, when you look good, you feel good. I've heard that for a very long time, but it's true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad bitch."
