Rihanna Took the Thigh-High Boot Trend to the Next Level, Literally

Rihanna's maternity style takes no days off. After shutting down Paris Fashion Week (oh, and Milan's, too) in a rotation of bad gal outfits ranging from sheer lingerie to cutout jumpsuits, Rih was at it again — but this time, she turned the focus to her footwear.

On Sunday morning, Rihanna shared a carousel of images on Instagram of her latest pregnancy look, which included a pair of very dramatic boots. The brown leather slouchy shoes featured a stiletto heel and traveled all the way up to her lower hip, taking the thigh-high boot trend to the next level — quite literally. The singer bundled up in a sherpa-lined suede coat with a white ruffled hoodie underneath. Only a sliver of her blue jeans were visible, as they peeked out from beneath the statement-making boots by Y/Project. Her dark hair was pulled away from her face, highlighting her peachy eye makeup and glossy lips.

With a nod to her over-the-top footwear in the photos, she cheekily captioned her post, "I can't stand me."

There's a reason for all of Rih's nonstop maternity fashion. In an interview with People, she previously revealed that dressing up is helping boost her confidence while pregnant. "Right now, being pregnant, some days you just feel like, 'Ugh, I just want to lay here on this couch all day.' But when you put on a little face and a little lipstick, you transform." She added, "You put some clothes on, and it's like, when you look good, you feel good. I've heard that for a very long time, but it's true. It really can get you up off that couch and make you feel like a bad bitch."
