The Caribbean country became a republic and inaugurated their first-ever president Dame Sandra Mason during a ceremony on Monday night, officially cutting ties with the British monarchy. At the event, the singer was honored with the country's National Hero Award, making Rihanna the only female to receive the award, second to religious leader Sarah Ann Gill. For the special occasion, the multi-hyphenate wore a striking burnt orange-colored Bottega Veneta silk gown, sans a bra. The silk accent flowed halfway down her back with a tassel at the end. The singer paired the ankle-length dress with bronze, lace-up stilettos, as well as a gold cuff bracelet and matching stud earrings that resembled the sun's rays. She completed the look with an intricate, braided hairstyle and glowing, golden makeup to match her ensemble. Along with the honor of receiving the award, Rihanna also now bears the title of The Right Excellent Robyn Rihanna Fenty for the rest of her life — which you can add to the already long list that includes singer, business owner, makeup guru, and lingerie connoisseur.
