Queen Elizabeth Responded to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Oprah Interview

"Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."

Buckingham Palace has finally responded to the explosive interview Meghan Markle and Prince Harry did with Oprah on Sunday night.

In a statement obtained by royal reporter Omid Scobie, Queen Elizabeth said, "The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning," the statement reads. "While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately."

They conclude by adding, "Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members."

In the interview, Markle revealed that at one point while she was pregnant, things had gotten so bad that she contemplated suicide. When she asked for help, she claimed that the family did nothing. She and Harry also said that there were "conversations" about how dark Archie's skin would be prior to his birth and they were told that he would not be given a title or security.

No other members have spoken out individually regarding the interview yet but when Prince Charles was asked he laughed and walked away.
