Princess Eugenie Revealed Her Newborn Son's Name in an Adorable First Family Photo
She welcomed a baby boy with husband Jack Brooksbank earlier this month.
Less than two weeks after welcoming a baby boy, Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank decided to introduce the newest member of the British royal family to the rest of the world. On Saturday morning, Eugenie shared the first family photos with her newborn son on Instagram, and revealed his cute name in the caption.
"We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank," she wrote alongside three new snapshots of herself and Brooksbank holding their baby. In the images, little August is wrapped in blue blanket that matched his dad's sweater and pants. Meanwhile, Eugenie opted for a cream mock-neck dress underneath a lightweight jacket, and accessorized with a puffy velvet headband in mustard.
Eugenie continued in the caption, "Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can't express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you." She went on to credit the sweet photos to the couple's "wonderful midwife."
In her Instagram Stories, Eugenie explained the significance behind her son's middle name, Philip. "On his grandfather's birthday weekend, thinking of my grandfather, we are introducing our little boy," she said, adding: "He is named after his great grandfather and both of his great x5 grandfathers."
Earlier this month, Eugenie and Jack announced the birth of August on Instagram, sharing a black and white photo of his tiny hand. "💙💙💙!!," Eugenie captioned the shot.
Baby August is the first grandchild of Eugenie's parents, the Duke and Duchess of York, and the ninth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.
