Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank Are Expecting Their First Child Together

Eugenie shared the sweetest announcement.

Congratulations are in order!

Princess Eugenie, 30, and her husband of nearly two years, Jack Brooksbank, 34, are expecting their first child together.

According to the palace, the couple is set to welcome their new addition in early 2021.

“The Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank, The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh are delighted with the news,” the palace’s announcement reads.

Eugenie announced the news herself on Instagram, sharing a photo of a tiny pair of teddy bear slippers. "Jack and I are so excited for early 2021," she wrote.

Pregnancy rumors have trailed the couple in the years since they wed at Windsor Castle in October 2018.

In June of last year, royal biographer Ingrid Seward assured People that the newlyweds wanted to grow their family “as soon as they can.”

The soon-to-parents have a long history together. They met a decade ago when Eugenie was studying at Newcastle University.

“We met when I was 20, he was 24,” Eugenie told BBC1. “[We] fell in love. We have the same passions and drive for life.”

Eugenie and Jack celebrated 10 years together this past April.
