The Duke traveled from his current residence in California, where he resides with his wife Meghan Markle and their son Archie. This also marks the first time Harry will be reunited with his family since his and Meghan Markle's bombshell Oprah interview that aired last month. Getty Images The Royal Family Reacts to Prince Philip's Death On Saturday, Buckingham Palace confirmed that theDuke of Sussex would be in attendance at his grandfather's funeral, while the Duchess of Sussex will not be in attendance, as she "has been advised by her physician not to travel," at this point in her pregnancy, according to a royal spokesman. Why Meghan Markle Will Not Be Attending Prince Philip's Funeral Prince Charles is reportedly excited to be reunited with his youngest son. According to The Sun, a Buckingham Palace source said "I'm sure Charles will be very happy to see his son. It's been more than a year. The Prince is very much looking forward to seeing him." And according to the Mirror, Prince Harry also "wants to be with everyone," during this sad time. Prince Harry touched down in the U.K. two days after Prince Philip sadly passed away on Friday (April 9) morning at the age of 99. The late prince is currently lying at rest at Windsor Castle. The funeral will be held next Saturday, and according to People, his coffin will be processed through Windsor Castle, royal officials confirmed. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the funeral will be reduced in size and closed to the public. But it will be broadcasted at 3 p.m. U.K. time (10 a.m. ET).
