Orlando Bloom's Beloved Poodle Mighty Passed Away
The actor paid tribute to the late pup by getting a new tattoo on his chest.
UPDATE 7/22/2020 9:40 A.M.: On Tuesday evening Bloom revealed that Mighty had passed away. "Mighty’s on the other side now," the actor wrote on Instagram. "After 7 days of searching from sunrise to sunset and into the wee hours, today, the 7th day ~the number of completion~ we found his collar."
Bloom paid tribute to the pup by getting a tattoo on his chest of Mighty's name above a symbol of a spade with a heart. "I feel so grateful to have learned from my little Mighty man that love is eternal and the true meaning of devotion. I feel sure he was looking down on me whistling in every back yard and knowing that I was doing all I possibly could to respect our bond. He was more than a companion. It was a soul connection for sure. I’m sorry. I love you. Thank you. RIP my MIGHTY HEART my little fellow A ♠️’s," Bloom wrote.
The Pirates of the Caribbean alum’s beloved poodle, Mighty, has gone missing.
“MIGHTY IS MISSING,” Bloom wrote in an Instagram gallery of photos of the pup on Wednesday night, specifying that the dog was last seen in Montecito, Calif. “He is chipped and his collar has a number to call,” the actor added, “if you take him to your local vet or shelter or police station he can be traced back to me for a reward please only send REAL INFO my heart is already broken so please don’t add insult to injury."
Mighty, whom Bloom adopted in 2017, made a splash at Fashion Week this past February when he coordinated with Bloom (er, the other way around) and calmly cuddled in the front row of Boss’s Milan show.
It doesn’t take a lot to see that Mighty is truly a cherished member of Bloom and Perry’s family. We’re wishing him a speedy return home!
