Simple silhouettes, loads of sequins, and romantic florals are some of Nicole Kidman's red carpet signatures. Cutouts and thigh-high slits are not — or rather, they weren't.

On Wednesday, Kidman ditched her overtly refined style and went for a high-risk, high-reward moment on the red carpet at the 2021 CMA Awards. Dressed in a one-shoulder black gown by Saint Laurent, the 54-year-old actress showed a flash of skin at the midriff with an ab-baring cutout. The dress also featured a high slit that traveled all the way up to her thigh. Gold jewelry — including double arm cuffs and a large cocktail ring — and a pair of black ankle-strap pumps completed her sultry look.

She pulled her blonde hair back into a low-slung bun with two face-framing waves.

Kidman adorably posed on the red carpet with her husband Keith Urban, who later performed his new song "Wild Heart" during the show. The Oscar-winning star danced along to the single while sitting at the couple's table and gave her hubby a standing ovation once he finished his set. Ahead of the award ceremony, Entertainment Tonight asked Kidman what she loves most about her husband, and she answered, "I just love watching him play, love love."
