Who said neutrals were boring?

From royal events to casual streetwear, Meghan Markle knows the power of a good color scheme.

This week, the Duchess of Sussex stepped out in Montecito, Calif. in a color-coordinated brown ensemble to go shopping at a local children's clothing boutique and a home furnishing store. In photos obtained by Daily Mail, Markle could be seen in a dark brown overcoat and what looks to be a brown dress with a high slit. She accessorized with a camel-colored knit hat, as well as a pair of brown calf-length boots, going incognito in oversized sunglasses and a KN95 face mask. Neutral browns, it turns out, are the opposite of boring when you're Meghan Markle.

According to the Mail, she was accompanied by a bodyguard, and stopped in at a boutique grocery store before browsing children's clothing store Poppy and furniture store Hudson Grace.

"There was a franticness to her shopping, like she was just itching to get out and be somewhat normal," an onlooker told the outlet. "Even if it was for just an hour."

Earlier this week, her friend and makeup artist Daniel Martin shared a rare update on how Markle and Prince Harry are faring as parents of two after welcoming their daughter Lilibet earlier this year.

"They are loving life as a family of four," Martin told People. "They've struck a rhythm as a foursome."

Martin, who got Meghan ready for a gala in New York City last month, added, "It was so much fun to have all of us back together again. It was chill and relaxed. Harry jokes around a lot, and Meghan is really funny," he continued. "It was nice to have those belly laughs again!"
