Royal expert Stewart Pearce told Us Weekly that he would describe the relationship as "very close" and that reports of conflict could just be a reflection of how Meghan and Prince Harry see things a little differently than Kate and Prince William. "I know that the four are talking with one another and they're talking by Zoom [and by] FaceTime," Peace said. "They're very close with one another." Apparently, Kate makes dinner and William sits down with some tea and everyone's favorite royal quartet just chats casually, the way that anyone else would, without being duchesses and princes. "And what's remarkable is that they all totally respect [each other], but this lens is different." And, of course, keeping things light and casual means they don't talk about rumors or other possibly stress-inducing news, like Harry's upcoming memoir. "It's not that William, and William and Kate, leave all the controversy about Harry and Meghan alone," Pearce added. "But … they just simply position it there because after all, it's not their responsibility to be involved in, you know, verbalizing anything. What they do is just simply offer as much peace and tranquility and calm as possible."
