With so many romantic comedies in his filmography, Matthew McConaughey surely has his pick should it come time to do a sequel to any of them.

And while he's since sworn off the genre, even apparently turning down a $14.5 million paycheck to star in another rom-com, there is one classic he'd consider doing a sequel to.

When asked on E!'s Daily Pop if he'd consider a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days sequel, McConaughey said, "Possibly. I mean, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is teed up, you know, teed up for one that you could easily do a sequel. And that was a really good one. As far as romantic comedies go, that was a really good one."

He added, "And it lasts! People still love that one. I enjoyed that one quite a bit."

Though a How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days TV series reboot was planned at Quibi, it's now up in the air, given that the platform will be shutting down.

With classics like Failure to Launch and The Wedding Planner in his backlog, his pick for a possible sequel might seem out of left field, but the movie seems to hold a special place in his heart. When he was asked last year to rank his rom-coms from best to worst, How to Lose a Guy came in at the number one spot.

"It is always on and there’s always this great little check that shows up in the mail from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days," he said about the movie. "I did that however many years ago!"
