Matt Damon is "So Happy" For Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez

Matt Damon is just as happy about the Bennifer reunion as the rest of us — after all, he just wants his friend to have the very best. The actor revealed at the premiere of his new movie Stillwater that he's rooting for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's rekindled romance.

"I'm just so happy for him," he told Extra when asked about the newly reunited couple. "He's the best. He deserves every happiness in the world."

He then added, "I'm glad for both of them." We love a supportive friend — and Damon's been there since the beginning during Bennifer 1.0, so we trust his opinion.

Lopez and Affleck made quite a few headlines over the weekend after a lavish day on the water spent canoodling, taking photos, and sharing some smooches. J.Lo officially confirmed the relationship with herbirthday Instagram post, sealing it with a kiss. She snuck in a steamy kissing photo as the last picture of the gallery in her post, but let's be real — that didn't fool anyone. News broke on Saturday that the couple had gone Instagram official.

They were also photographed soaking up the sun while lounging on the deck of the ship. The couple even recreated their infamous yacht butt grab from the singer's 2002 video for "Jenny From the Block." Later, the two hit the club and jammed out while some of her smash hits played.

A source recently told People that the couple is "madly in love" and the "loves of each other's lives." Another source added, "Even though their split many years ago was devastating for Jennifer, she has never had a bad word to say about Ben. She believes that it just wasn't meant to be then and feels like they've been given a second chance."
