Where Kiersey Clemons, Ethan Hawke, Priyanka Chopra, and More Partied at Sundance
The Sundance Film Festival is once again upon us.
This year's roster of indies feature some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Maggie Gyllenhaal, Idris Elba, and Keira Knightley, all of whom took a well-deserved break from promoting their projects to hit the party circuit in their warm-weather finest.
On Main Street, aka the center of the action in Park City, Utah, Grey Goose hosted an assemblage of stars. Emma Roberts dropped by with her boyfriend, Evan Peters, to kick off his 31st birthday, greeting him with a big hug when he walked in the door. Rose Byrne chatted with her Juliet, Naked co-stars Ethan Hawke and Chris O'Dowd, as they sipped cocktails.
Across the road at Cafe Artois, Aubrey Plaza and Chloë Sevigny celebrated Sevigny's new film, Lizzie, based on the infamous Lizzie Borden murders. Further away, in the mountains, Quantico star Priyanka Chopra stopped by the MoviePass estate to talk about her new movie, A Kid Like Jake, with Claire Danes and Octavia Spencer.

Celebrities Bundle Up in Style at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival
Although awards season is in full swing and capturing our full attention, we can’t lose sight of the year’s first major film festival: Sundance.
The Utah-based festival, which kicked offĀ Thursday,Ā Jan. 18, and extends until Jan. 28, is a star-studded event if ever there was one. Just a few days in, we’ve already spotted major players like Dakota Fanning, Octavia Spencer, and Idris Elba.
It should come as no surprise that Utah in January is, well, COLD, so our fave A-listers look a tad more buttoned-up than we’re accustomed to seeing them. Regardless, the stars are bringing their red carpet A-game.
I mean, look at Keira Knightley’s polished menswear ensemble (above). Can you think of anyone else on the planet that could get away with pairing a tuxedo and gauchos? We’re drawing a blank.

The Best Golden Globes Nominee Makeovers and Makeunders
This year’s Golden Globes nominees list is all about the transformation. From Mary J. Blige’s stripped-down performance as Florence Jackson in Mudbound to Margot Robbie’s makeunder into Tonya Harding for I, Tonya, there are quite a few chameleons gunning for Golden Globes gold.
Blige recently opened up about how stepping away from her usual glam persona for the role changed her for the better.
“I had to surrender and commit completely to Florence," Blige toldĀ Billboard. “Like the little ugly boots she was wearing every day and those dresses ... We couldn’t wear makeup. We couldn’t have nails. We couldn’t do eyelashes. I was stripped down to the bare necessities of Mary. And that really helped me because people were saying things like, ‘Gosh, you’re so beautiful.’ It helped my self-esteem.”
Emma Stone was also nearly recognizable as tennis icon Billie Jean King in Battle of the Sexes, and told TheĀ Hollywood ReporterĀ playing the role was even more challenging since it marked the first time she hadn’t played a fictitious character.

It was super challenging, but [King] was so warm and welcoming and open to all of it.”
