Lili Reinhart Opened Up About Mental Health During Quarantine

Lili Reinhart is opening up about her time in quarantine, and her new film, in an interview with Refinery 29.

In a conversation about how she is holding up over the last few months, which includes a rumored split from Cole Sprouse, she said, "The last couple of months have probably [been] the most emotional few months of my entire life and my therapist [told] me, 'Your body's going through withdrawal from love," she says. "'You're used to having this exchange of happy chemicals between you and the person that you're with.' In moments of my life, I have dropped every ounce of pride that I had just to be like, Love me. Please take the pain away for a day, a second, an hour, just so I can feel that fix again."

Reinhart and Sprouse met on the set of Riverdale and began dating in 2017. Though they were private about their relationship, the former couple released glimpses into their lives through Instagram photoshoots and even on red carpets.

Reinhart also discussed how quarantine has been helpful to her mental health and well-being.

"I very much have looked inward and really worked on myself and I can feel myself having grown a lot," she said. "Even just the way I'm thinking is different and I'm less judgmental and I'm more open to meeting new people. I've gone out of my way to try to better myself as a human being."

Reinhart recently came out as bisexual but revealed she was nervous to do so because she had been in a hetero-normative relationship. In an interview with Flaunt Magazine in early August she explained, "I felt that since I’ve exclusively been in hetero-normative relationships, it would be too easy for any outsider, especially the media, to vilify me and accuse me of faking it to get attention. That’s not something I wanted to deal with. But to my close friends, and those in my life, my bisexuality has been no secret."
