How Lana Condor Is Prepping Her Skin For Her Wedding Day

Lana Condor really is "that girl" when it comes to her skincare routine.

"I wear face masks on the plane with my mask over top and I don't care if people think I look like a serial killer," the actress and Neutrogena ambassador tells InStyle over the phone. "I'm 'that girl' and I'm always the one that's always getting up to pee because I try to drink as much water as possible when I'm flying, too. So God help you if you ever sit next to me."

Sheet masks are Condor's mask of choice, specifically hydrating ones like Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Hydrating 100% Hydrogel Mask. And while she's a fan of masks because they're effective, she also likes that they bring the drama — wherever she wears one.

"One time, I was on my way to work and was using this bubble mask that bubbles up really big, and the person in the car next to absolutely freaked out because I looked like I was a monster. I got a kick out of it," she laughs. "And so, I showed up to the To All the Boys set, and Janel [Parrish] who plays my sister also freaked out."

The experimentation in her skincare routine stops at masks. Condor, who recently got engaged to longtime boyfriend Anthony De La Torre, says she's not taking any chances with her pre-wedding skincare prep.

"I drink so much water and really do think it has an effect on the health of my skin. I want to be super glowy," she shares. "I also know I will not try new products on my wedding day. I'm going to stick with my tried-and-true products."

Condor's favorites include Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Gel Cream to ensure her skin stays hydrated, and she never skips SPF. "Sunscreen is so, so important for me, especially with all of the traveling I do," she says. "My mom has always said that the only time you don't have to wear SPF is if you need to use a flashlight."

While her skincare will be old, Condor says the mascara she wears for her wedding will be new. "The only new product I will be sourcing is an awesome waterproof mascara because I know I'm going to cry," she says. "Even yesterday, I was in the car, imagining my dad walking me down the aisle and I burst into tears."

Luckily, the actress has ample time to test out formulas and find "the one."
