Lady Gaga Just Gave the Blanket Dress a Glam Update

Bedspread or ballgown?

Lady Gaga may have been hard at work this week, but her outfits worked overtime. From pantless ponchos and feathery hats to biker shorts and platform boots, the singer pulled out all the stops for her New York City sidewalk fashion show. And for the finale, Gaga made yet another major statement, wearing a blanket-turned-ballgown.

Arriving at her final farewell concert with the great Tony Bennett at Radio Music Hall on Thursday, Gaga stepped out in a checked quilted dress by Christopher John Rogers that looked like it could easily double as a bedspread. The strapless dress in a seersucker fabric featured a sculptural silhouette with a slit in the back. Gaga paired the sculptural gown with her signature white platform boots and cateye sunglasses.

A swipe of coral lipstick and a slicked-back bun provided the finishing touches to her whimsical, just pulled-the-whole quilt-off-the-bed look.

Yesterday marked Gaga's last performance at Radio Music Hall, and while fans are surely sad to see her sartorial tour de force around NYC come to a close, they can look forward to her House of Gucci press tour outfits this fall. I mean, if the on-set fashion sneak peeks — including Gaga après ski and as an '80s bride — are any indication of what's to come on the red carpet, then we're in for a treat.
