Kristen Stewart Wore a Floral-Embellished Version of the Naked Dress
Leave it to Kristen Stewart to put a new spin on the ubiquitous naked dress.
Last night, the newly-engaged actress appeared at a Spencer screening at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City in a sophisticated yet subtly sexy dress. Stewart went braless underneath a sheer gown covered in 3D floral appliqués, before it flowed into a layered skirt with see-through striped panels. Adding to the naked effect, Stewart paired the ankle-length dress with sparkly mesh Christian Louboutin pumps.
She kept accessories to a minimum and pulled her newly-blonde hair into a punk-style updo that juxtaposed against her dress's feminine florals.
During the photo call, the actress posed alongside the film's director Pablo Larraín, as well as Rajendra Roy, the chief curator of film at the MoMA. The biopic, which hits theaters today, follows several days over the 1991 Christmas vacation where we see the demise of the late Princess Diana's marriage to Prince Charles.
It's been an exciting couple of weeks for Stewart, who also just announced she is engaged to her longtime girlfriend screenwriter Dylan Meyer. During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, Stewart gushed about her new fiancée. "Knocked it out of the park," she told Fallon. "No, I scored."
