But someone staying out of those headlines? Surprisingly, it's West's estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, who told Ellen DeGeneres that when it comes to sensational news stories, she always thinks of her children first, preferring to channel Michelle Obama and take the high road. In today's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kim explained that she doesn't want her actions to reflect poorly on the children that she shares with West and, admittedly, it's not easy. "He's the father of my kids, I'll always be protective. I always want my kids to see the best of the best, so I just try to — as hard as it can be sometimes — I do try to ignore it and do whatever's best for the kids," she said of making sure her statements about West are level-headed and even-keeled. "Take the high road. Sometimes, these are lessons. This was put into my life for a reason and these challenges and I just think, I try to really sit still sometimes and say, 'OK, what is this lesson, what am I meant to learn from it?'" Kim did kick back a little and relax (as much as she could in a full-on latex look), talking about her new love and the ... unique ways he expresses his admiration for her. "This one, the Kim one, isn't a tattoo. It's actually a branding," she explained when DeGeneres showed a snapshot of Davidson's "Kim" tattoo. "He wanted to do something that was really different. First tattoo he got, I was like, 'Oh, so cute. Thank you, oh my God,' you know? Second [tattoo] I'm like, 'Oh, that's so cute,' but that's what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what's going on in their life." The branding isn't the only dedication that Davidson has on his body. Kardashian went on to say he has a few others, but her favorite is one on his shoulder. "It says, 'My girl is a lawyer,' and that one is really cute," she said.
