Kim Kardashian Wore a Dress With Her Own Face On It

If you can even call it a dress.

Back in October, Kim Kardashian West celebrated her birthday in a big way — and she faced plenty of criticism for the over-the-top bash during a global pandemic. But in addition to that family-filled island getaway, West also cashed in on her big day by releasing a special KKW Beauty purple makeup palette.

Today, she gave her Instagram followers a behind-the-scenes look at the product shoot, which happened to include a skin-tight, strapless mini "dress" that showcased Kardashian's face. To call it a dress would actually be a stretch, because from Kardashian's new posts, it's clear that the garment is really just a screen-printed piece of fabric that was clipped the back for the shoot.

"Birthday Collection Shoot. I loved this day! Slide to see this purple eye !!!" she wrote alongside the gallery. "Fun fact ... my room growing up was all lavender and purple has always been such a pretty color to me that's why I wanted my birthday collection to have the prettiest purple palette!"

The self-referential outfit puts Kardashian in very good company. Naomi Campbell wore a "Naomi Hit Me ... And I Loved It" sweater after she threw a cell phone at an employee. Céline Dion wore a Titanic-themed Vetements sweater. Kardashian released a book of selfies called Selfish, after all, so wearing an homage to herself doesn't seem like something completely surprising.
