And it's not just about that faux wedding that went down over the weekend.

There may still be hope for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian — at least, Kanye thinks so.

After West and Kardashian took part in a performative wedding at his Chicago Donda listening party, sources close to the couple told Entertainment Tonight that West is hoping for a reconciliation. Kardashian filed for divorce back in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage. At the time, a source told People that Kardashian was "very happy and convinced that she made the right decision."

Kardashian appeared in a Balenciaga wedding gown during West's party, which prompted plenty of questions from fans. ET's source said that while the two still love each other, Kardashian's priority is her children, not any sort of reunion with West. West and Kardashian share four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.

"Kim and Kanye have a deep love for each other and many amazing memories and it's difficult to just let that all go. Kim's main focus and concern are her children and doing what is best for them and their family," the source said. They added that Kardashian might be "considering" reconnecting with West.

While West appears to have hope, his hijinks at the Donda party didn't sit well with his ex-wife. E! News reports that Kardashian didn't know that she would be in a performance that included Marilyn Manson and DaBaby.

"She would never have participated in something if she knew Manson was a part of it," a source said.

An additional source told E! that she had "expressed" her feelings to West, but he insisted it was for art, not shock value.

"He wants her to realize why he included them and appreciate the art form," that source noted. "Kanye wanted a reaction. He wants people talking about his album and that was the approach he was taking."
