During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Andy Cohen explained that everyone has been mispronouncing "Khloé Kardashian." He noted that the "E" in Khloé's name has an accent, but he didn't delve into why Khloé's own sisters pronounce her name incorrectly. "It's Khlo-ay," Cohen told Fallon. "Khlo-ay is the name. He paid the entire Kardashian-Jenner family a visit in their natural habitat of Calabasas, California, for his new show, For Real, a seven-part series set to premiere on E! that covers the history of reality television. "I went and interviewed the Kardashians at Khloé's house," Cohen added. "I walked in and I go, 'Khlo-ay,' and the other women go, 'Excuse me?' And Kris said, 'Yeah, that's actually how it's really pronounced.'" Glamour notes that Khloé isn't the only famous name that's been incorrectly pronounced — and continues to be.
