Katy Perry Wore Head-to-Toe Cow-Print on Her First Day Back at Work Following Her Daughter's Birth
The singer welcomed daughter Daisy less than two months ago.
Katy Perry, a fashion statement queen, has returned to her thrown a little over two months after giving birth to her and fiancé Orlando Bloom’s daughter, Daisy.
The singer joined fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on Tuesday as production began on American Idol’s new season. Perry, not one for subtlety, opted for head-to-toe cow print — like, hat, peplum top, pants, fingerless gloves, pumps … the works!
The new mom paired her matching livestock-inspired ensemble with a large pair of black earrings, her platinum blonde locks styled in a wavy bob.
Perry recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight about returning to work following the birth of her daughter. “My life just feels very full and whole,” she explained. “And you know, it's hard a little bit these first couple of days away and not being able to be there."
Luckily, “Daddy” is on the case. “Daddy's doing a great job. Daddy has stepped in,” Perry assured fans. "I've seen the Bjorn on him, I've seen him with the bottle, I've seen all the pictures. It's all good.”
Earlier this week, Bloom appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, telling the host, that initially he thought Daisy was his “mini-me” but upon closer inspection, she looks quite a bit like Perry, and also his mom …
“Fortunately, she got those Katy blues, which was perfect,” he gushed. "But then she sort of look like my mom … So then I got a little confused because Katy's breastfeeding this mini-me slash my mom … Who's she gonna look like next?"
Only time (and Instagram) will tell.
