Katy Perry's personal style, like her music, has always encouraged fans to stand out from the crowd. That's why it came as a surprise when the freshly blonde-again star recently revealed to People that she used to squander time reading other people's opinions about her outfits on social media.

Fortunately, she's quit the habit. "I gave up scrolling down on the comments. Fashion is a way to express yourself," she said. "We can say we're funny or romantic or serious or sarcastic just by how we display ourselves." The pop queen is known for dramatically changing up her style through the years.

When her first album, One of The Boys, was released, Perry wore pinup- inspired outfits and hairstyles. And her Teenage Dream-era looks were all about the sugar, as Perry sported such memorable pieces as cupcake bras and candy cane skirts.

A few days ago, Perry released her new catchy single "Chained to the Rhythm," and the accompanying promo photos display yet another new aesthetic for the singer. Dreamy pink, blue, and yellow pastels complement Perry's fair complexion and suggest a softer look for her upcoming fourth album, and we like where she's going with this.

The "Firework" singer is set to perform her new single at the Grammys this coming Sunday, which begs the question...what is she going to wear? Our guess? Whatever she wants.
